Description
This solitaire engagement ring features a 2 carat emerald cut center stone set in a refined half bezel, with metal framing only the top and bottom of the gemstone. That partial bezel gives the stone a cleaner, more contemporary outline than a traditional prong setting while still preserving the crisp geometry that makes emerald cuts so distinctive.

The shank remains slender through the base, then separates into a petite split at the shoulders as it rises toward the center. That split opens more noticeably near the top and merges into the half bezel, creating a floating effect when the ring is viewed from the side. The center is set high in a cathedral style, which gives the ring more lift and presence while also allowing a wedding band to sit flush against it. From the profile, the design feels architectural without becoming heavy, making it a modern interpretation of a classic bezel concept.
This design can be customized to suit a client’s preferences. Hand engraving along the shank can introduce a more artistic character, while milgrain on the half bezel and along the shank can shift the design in a more vintage direction. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
