Designing your own ring is easy with three steps. First, your designer will gather ideas of what you're imagining. Then, the CAD team will create a 3D, proportional model and print a wax for you to see in real life. After making any changes you request, our jewelers bring the ring to life with the custom materials you choose.
Shank Design
In total, 32 diamonds are bright cut set along the shank with milgrain framing them. On this individually-created ring, the diamonds are all Hearts & Arrows grade, meaning they are colorless and the best cut available to provide maximum sparkle. To give an extra lift to the center stone, the shank splits vertically into two, creating a feature only seen from the side. Engagement Rings
Five-Leaf Motif
This symbolic element of five leaves is set on both sides of the ring underneath the center stone. The leaves fan out from a center peekaboo stone with a diamond set in each leaf and edged in milgrain. Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
