Description

This elegant engagement ring features a marquise diamond bezel set in the center, with pear shape blue sapphires bezel set on either side, and custom hand engraving on the two-tone shank. It was created for a client from Kent, WA, who initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to view some sample pieces and discuss his vision for the design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Three-stone Setting

At the center of this ring is a 0.50 carat marquise shaped diamond that’s bezel set in line with the band. The setting itself is an extension of the criss-cross pattern of the split shank, and as the two strands extend out past the center diamond, they transition into the bezel settings holding the pear shape blue sapphires that complete the three-stone setting. Three Stone Engagement Rings

Diamonds and sapphires are both popular choices for use in engagement rings, and they complement each other nicely. The rich blue of the sapphire brings contrast and color to the ring, and the use of the diamond in the central position still serves as a nod to the traditional. Blue Sapphire Engagement Rings

Two-tone Band

While the bezel setting for the diamond is all white gold, the sapphires are cradled by white gold on one side and rose gold on the other. These rose gold sections begin close to the mid-point on the shank, and they quickly split off from the main white gold strand, looping out and then back in to cross over and integrate into the sapphire settings.

The two-tone look brings some added contrast to the piece, and the use of rose gold as an accent lends the ring some vintage flair. This is reinforced by many of the other design elements present, helping to create a unified and balanced whole.

Custom Hand Engraving

The fronts of the ring are covered by a wheat pattern of hand engraving that the client selected from the options we provided. This continues all the way up to cover the sides of the main setting as well, and a complementary pattern runs down the top of the band starting just below the side sapphires for a classy and elegant look.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
