14k White Gold And Platinum Custom Two-tone Halo Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #1178 $5,762 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Sapphire Center and Diamond Halo
At the top of this ring, a three carat oval blue sapphire is cradled in a platinum setting made up of four sets of double talon prongs. These prongs intrude slightly onto the top surface of the stone, adding a hint of contrast as well as some vintage flair to the design. Sapphire Engagement Rings
Surrounding this beautiful stone is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds which are also set in platinum. The halo follows the contours of the center stone, and it angles a bit downward to follow the general curvature of the top of the sapphire as well. Halo Engagement Rings
Two-tone Band Design and Diamond Accents
Although the entire center setting is platinum, the band is made from 18k yellow gold. This begins where the band joins the underside of the halo, and it continues all the way around the bottom to the other side. A yellow gold bridge piece also passes directly below the center sapphire to connect to the two sides of the band, and it’s here that it intersects with the very bottom of the platinum center setting. At that intersection point, a bezel set round diamond sits on each ring front, adding some surprise sparkle to the ring.
Custom Hand Engraving
The entire yellow gold band, on both the top and fronts, is covered with custom hand engraving in an elegant wheat pattern. The exact design is slightly different on the top and ring fronts due to the different amount of space available, but the two are quite complimentary and provide an added vintage flair. This is only reinforced by the milgrain beading that frames the hand engraving, and that also runs along the outer margin of the diamond halo at the top.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
