He came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to initiate the custom design process by talking to our team about his vision for the piece. After that visit, we put together a highly-detailed CAD model of the design we developed for him, and he came in again to go over the final details before giving his approval to send the ring into production.
Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a stunning 3.01 carat diamond. It’s round brilliant cut and prong set, with the four rounded platinum prongs providing the perfect subtle frame for this dazzling gem. The diamond was provided by the client, and we built the ring around it to match its exact proportions and highlight its natural beauty.
One thing the client was concerned about with having such a large center stone was the height of the setting overall. With this in mind, he requested that we set the diamond as low as possible, and so we brought the point down as close to the base of the band as we could. Pave Set Accents
There are 130 small round diamonds covering the fronts and top of the band down to the three-quarter point. These are edgeless pave set, which leaves almost no metal visible between the stones. It’s a truly glamorous style, and it gives this ring unparalleled sparkle while helping to enhance the beauty of the large diamond at the top.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
