Diamond Solitaire
A solitaire diamond is a traditional choice for an engagement ring, and cushion cut stones are an increasingly popular choice to fill that role. It offers the ring a bit of vintage flair, which fits nicely with the other elements of this design in particular. Diamonds are also generally associated with romantic love, purity, and unparalleled beauty, making them a wonderful choice for this type of ring. Diamond Engagement Rings
Modified Halo
The diamonds in the halo are mostly bright cut set, but there is also one bezel set stone on each side, which gives the center setting a hint of a floral shape. These accent diamonds work well to highlight the center stone, as they reflect additional light back up onto it and help increase its sparkle.
Custom Engraving
The organic nature of the halo design ties in nicely with the custom hand engraving that covers the sides of the ring shank. Its natural, swirling pattern gives the ring an antique flair as well, which is only accentuated by the delicate milgrain that runs along the edges of the shank and halo.
While the gemstones are often the focus of any piece of custom jewelry, it’s these types of special design touches that really make our work stand out. Our artisans complete this custom metalwork onsite in our Bellevue, WA location, and because they carry out all engraving by hand, they can reproduce almost any pattern or geometric design you choose.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
