Description
This stunning engagement ring features a pear shaped diamond prong set in white gold with a contoured halo and additional diamond accents on the band. It was created for a client from Tacoma, WA, who came into our Bellevue showroom to discuss his project in person. After determining the type and style of ring he wanted, we shared CAD images of the ring we proposed to make.

He was very happy with the design, although he did learn at the last minute that his fiancee-to-be did not want rose gold, which is what he had originally asked for. Fortunately, we were able to make a change to white gold for the finished product, and they were both so happy with the way their ring came out that they came back to us when it was time to have their wedding bands made. Center Setting
A pear shaped 1.11 carat diamond is the centerpiece of this ring, and it sits with its widest point directly over the band. The three 18k white gold prongs holding it in place provide security while simultaneously almost blending in with the diamond to let it take center stage. Diamond Engagement Rings
A halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds this center stone and it follows the contours of the larger diamond perfectly. The smaller stones reflect up to allow the center diamond to shine more brightly, and they also bring a classical flair to the design.
Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds also line the shank shoulders, ending at about the three-quarter point on the band. These tie in with the diamonds in the halo to unite the separate sections of the ring, and they bring a lovely sparkle to the ring as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
