It was created for a couple from Chino Hills, CA, who worked closely with our team in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom as well as online and over the phone to make sure every detail of their piece was perfect. The clients initially were interested in a similar ring, but one that included split prong set accent diamonds on the band and gallery rail. After seeing various renderings and viewing other sample pieces, however, they decided to forego the accents and stick with this classic solitaire design.
Diamond Solitaire
The diamond at the top of this ring is round brilliant cut and 1.70 carats. The client spent some time evaluating diamond options with our team to make sure the stone he selected was perfect in every way, and we found this lovely diamond for him. Diamond Engagement Rings
The four prong setting holding the diamond follows closely to its contours but leaves a bit of space around the lower portion of the stone. The precise configuration of these prongs was another element that the clients focused on during the custom design process, and through our CAD models, they were able to see what different arrangements would look like in order to make the best possible choice for their design.
Customization Options
This setting was built to highlight the beautiful cut and quality of the center diamond, and choosing a special stone as the centerpiece of your own ring is one way to begin the customization process. You may decide to go with an oval or marquise diamond rather than round, or you might choose a different type of stone all together. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
