If you’re ready to begin the custom design process, or if you just want to get a feel for how it all works, you can visit our Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA showroom in person or reach out to us through our website. We’ll walk you through exactly what to expect at every step along the way, and we’ll use all of the technological tools at our disposal to ensure that you can visualize and approve every detail of your design before we ever cast anything in metal.
Diamond Solitaire
The only gemstone in this ring is a large trillion diamond. Trillions are triangle shaped with equilateral sides. The diamond is cradled in three prongs made of 18k yellow gold. They are rounded and gracefully flow down into the setting to meet at the base. Diamond Engagement Rings
The head of the ring holds the center diamond, and the prongs meet to attach to the band, while a semi-cathedral arch rises up from the band to connect with the basket and supports that allow the center diamond to be safely held in the ring. It is considered a low profile setting.
Customization Options
If you're interested in customizing this ring, you could begin by choosing a different type of metal. Platinum or white gold would give this ring an immediate icy look with the sharp angles of the trillion. In contrast, rose gold would add even more contrast to the diamond. To add a bit more sparkle, you could add pave diamonds to the basket bars below the diamond.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
