Description
This stunning engagement ring features a trilliant shaped yellow diamond prong set in the center of a halo of round bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain, all atop a rose gold shank. It was created for a client from Burien, WA, who came to us with a clear idea of the type of ring he wanted. Trilliant Center
At the center of this ring is a 0.90 carat trilliant diamond, and it’s prong set in 14k rose gold. The warm tones of the metal bring out the natural glow of the diamond, and this pairing was specifically chosen by the client to get that effect. The way the three prongs curve over the corners of the diamond as well really helps to accentuate its lovely angular shape.
Diamond Halo
Surrounding the center stone is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds that the client provided. We removed them from an existing ring he brought in, and we also used some of these in the wedding band we made for him later on. Matching Wedding Sets
The wonderful sparkle of the diamonds, as well as the way they contrast with the delicate yellow of the larger center stone helps increase the latter’s brilliance. The shape of the center stone is also highlighted by the way the halo follows its contours exactly, and as a finishing touch, both sides of the halo are lined with milgrain beading. Band Design
The band in this piece is flat and straight, tapering every so slightly at the bottom and rising up to meet the bottom of the center setting at the top. The inspiration piece the client had us base his piece on also had accent diamonds on the band, and so our original CAD models did as well. After seeing these models and considering his options, however, he decided to go with a more modern look and save the diamonds for use in the matching wedding band.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
