Pear Shape Diamond in Halo Setting
This ring features a 1.49 ctw oval center stone sitting atop a halo of 22 round diamond melees. The stones flawlessly outline the shape of the oval center and sit in proximity in a split-prong setting. As its name implies, this type of setting is designed to split the prongs into two parts, with each side holding a single gemstone. A halo is an esthetical detail that gives extra shine to the piece. It also makes the center appear larger.
The main diamond is held in place by four round prongs and is slightly raised in a cathedral style.
This style allows more room for the gallery to show thus letting extra details to be worked on for the underside of the center stone.
In this case, our clients liked the dainty approach and have the metal ornaments interweave to create the gallery, keeping the design simple yet very classy.
Tapered Shank and Hand Engraving
The shank is wider at the bottom of the ring and tapers towards the top. The shank shoulders narrow down to merge with the diamond halo contour. This taper draws the eyes up to the center diamond.
For extra detail, the front and back of the band are precisely hand engraved by our expert artisans. Hand engraving gives an additional dimension to the ring, with a vintage esthetic. Hand engraving dates back to ancient Egypt and requires an extremely high level of craftsmanship honed over many years in the industry.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
