14k Yellow Gold And Platinum Custom Two-tone Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #102549 $17,940 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Setting and Halo
The main setting of this ring is built around a 1.04 carat oval diamond that’s bezel set in platinum. It’s surrounded by a halo of bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain, and this halo follows the contours of the larger diamond exactly. That gives the entire top of the ring an elongated shape, and it’s oriented in such a way to sit inline with the finger when worn, making it seem less bulky even as it’s quite striking to behold. Two-tone Band Design
The entire top of the ring, as well as the sections of the shank shoulder right next to the halo, are made of platinum, but the remainder of the band is 18k yellow gold. This creates a two-tone look that helps emphasize the brilliant white sparkle of the diamonds at the top while enhancing the classical themes of the ring with the warmth of the yellow gold on the bottom. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bullet shaped diamonds are bezel set at the top of each shank shoulder, and the two together total 0.50 carats. These are framed by their own partial halos of small bright cut set diamonds, and two larger round diamonds are bright cut set in a line just below each bullet in the band. Although the bullet diamonds and their halos are set in platinum, the four larger round diamonds on the band are set in yellow gold, and that helps to accentuate the contrast between the two types of metal in the ring.
All of the accent diamonds are lined with milgrain beading, just like those in the halo, and this shared feature creates a link across all areas of the ring. There is also a filigree basket below the center setting that’s made up of three loops on each ring front. These loops are lined with milgrain as well, helping to highlight the lovely curves of the filigree and add some vintage flair at the same time.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
