Tension Set Diamond
The diamond at the center of this piece is one carat and round brilliant cut. The tension setting that holds it in place arises naturally from the criss-cross shank below, with a strand from one side wrapping around the top of the stone, while the corresponding strand from the other side cradles the bottom of the diamond.
This type of setting keeps the profile of the ring low, and it also helps highlight the perfectly round shape of the diamond. Although diamonds are the most popular choice as the centerpiece of an engagement ring, there are many ways to set and accent them, which means that you can stick with tradition while still creating a unique and personal piece. Criss-cross Shank and Diamond Accents
The band of this ring begins as one piece across the bottom, but it splits in two at about the three-quarter point on each side. The two strands then bow out and then back in with a gentle movement that allows them to cross over each other twice before transitioning into the main setting at the top. Diamond Engagement Rings
One strand remains solid metal all the way up, and this is the one that continues up to wrap around the center diamond on each side. The other strand is lined with split prong set diamond accents starting right at the spot of the split. These continue up to the top, stopping only when the strands meet the sides of the main setting. This arrangement gives the piece a nice balance and sense of continuity, as it helps emphasize the smooth, elegant lines of the band and center setting.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
