14k Yellow Gold Custom Blue Sapphire And Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #103006 $4,701 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
After he found a ring in the showcase he wanted to customize, he worked in person with one of our designers to get the preliminary details lined up. We then created a CAD model of the ring as we proposed to build it, and after requesting a few clarifications, he gave his approval to begin production.
Center Sapphire and Setting
The sapphire at the center of this ring is round and 1.12 carats. It’s double prong set in platinum, and the angular halo of bright cut set diamonds surrounding it helps highlight its elegant shape through contrast. This halo features three diamonds clustered together on each side and one on each corner, and these sections are all separated by lines of milgrain beading for a stylish vintage look. The diamonds don’t end at the halo, however, as all faces of the center setting and basket, including the fronts and sides, are lined with the same round bright cut set accents. Milgrain extends around these as well, and it continues down along the edges of the band to give a sense of continuity and completion to the piece.
Shank Design and Hand Engraving
The client had initially requested a knife edge shank, but after seeing our initial design without it and giving it some thought, he decided to stick with a flat band. A beautiful wheat pattern is hand-engraved along the top of the shank, and the fronts feature a complementary pattern adjusted to fit in the narrower space. This continues all the way down the sides, ending just before the bottom to leave a blank area open for sizing purposes. Vintage Engagement Rings

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
