Description
This custom order came to our custom jewelry designer in Seattle and Bellevue all the way from Australia. Though she was initially hesitant to invest in a piece of customized jewelry from an online company, she was quickly reassured by Joseph Jewelry’s Customer Satisfaction Guarantee (see our guide section for details). She was further encouraged by the timely communication and professional treatment that our designers gave her while they realized her vision.

Zircons are naturally-occurring stones that are highly important in the world of jewelry. The particular zircon chosen for this piece has a gentle blue coloration, cut into a brilliant round shape that does well to replicate the classic beauty of a diamond.
The goal of this client was to combine antique and modern elements into a single ring, and then give it a little twist. The antique look is achieved through the hand engraving and filigree artwork, and the modern look is achieved through the colored center stone. The shank of this ring is made out of fourteen karat white gold, which serves to complement the gemstone without masking its gentle coloration. This shank is accented with a hand-carved floral pattern and lined with a milgrain of thirty-six tiny, round cut diamonds.
Our client was amazed by the final product, and approved production instantly upon seeing the images. Contact Joseph Jewelry today to get started on your own custom jewelry design success story!

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care
- Lifetime warrantyYour custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects.
- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.
- Complimentary cleaningVisit us every six months for a complimentary cleaning.
Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
