Description
This lovely engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond at the top, with bright cut set diamond accents running down the shoulders of the platinum shank. It was designed as part of a wedding set for a couple from New York, NY to go with men’s band, #102320. Although they live on the other side of the country, these clients did come into our Bellevue, WA showroom when they were in the area, and they also collaborated extensively with our team online.

Center Setting
The round brilliant cut diamond at the center of this ring is just over three carats, and to ensure it stays in place, we used double claw platinum prongs. These also have the benefit of framing the stone beautifully, and because of the strength of the platinum, the setting can still be quite open, allowing the diamond to be viewed clearly from all angles. Diamonds are a traditional choice for the main stone in an engagement ring, and this one fills the role beautifully. It makes a bold statement with its brilliant sparkle, and it also brings in the overtones of romantic love and unparalleled beauty that are associated with these exquisite gems.
Diamond Accents
The band is lined with bright cut set round diamonds that start at the center setting and run three quarters of the way down towards the bottom. These add a wonderful sparkle, and they also match the diamonds in the accompanying wedding band to help create a truly stunning look when the two are worn together.
Wedding Sets
While this ring and the wedding band that goes with it are very different from the men’s band that makes up the remainder of this set, there are some features that unify all three. Sharing features across all pieces of a wedding set is a great way to represent the bond that you share, and it helps give the rings that much more personal significance.
Matching Wedding Sets
However, it can be challenging to see how to accomplish this since men’s and women’s rings are often so different, especially when it comes to the use of gemstones. In this set, for instance, the men’s band has no diamonds, but it is made with palladium and rose gold sections, which is mirrored by the use of platinum for the engagement ring and rose gold for the wedding band on the women’s side.
And there are many other options as well for how you can include unifying features subtly across all elements of a wedding set. We do recommend that you have all rings in a set made at the same time, and that’s particularly important when you have these types of features included and you want to make sure they match exactly. But if you have an existing engagement ring and want us to design wedding bands to match it, we can absolutely do that as well.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
