After this initial meeting, we put together a model of her ring in CAD, which we then shared with her through the online workroom we established to manage the communications surrounding her project. She loved the CAD and requested that we print up a wax model for her. Once she’d seen the wax, she gave final approval for us to turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production, and she was very happy with the way the piece turned out. Center Diamond and Halo
A 2.02 carat cushion shaped diamond sits at the top of this ring in a four prong platinum setting. The stone is slightly elongated, and it’s set lengthwise across the band so as to be inline with the finger. The prongs holding this gorgeous stone are softly pointed, and they curl up over the rounded corners of the diamond elegantly.
A contoured halo of round French cut set diamonds surrounds this center stone, and it adds a lovely sparkle while also helping the larger diamond to shine more brightly. The halo is a classic choice for an engagement ring design, bringing with it traditional and romantic overtones. Diamond Accents and Band Design
Two rows of French cut set diamond accents run up both sides of the shank, starting about three-quarters of the way down the band. The band splits near the top, and one row of accents stones continues along each strand as they curve out away from each other. The strands eventually meet the sides of the halo close to the corners, giving the ring a nice overall balance and helping to transition smoothly from the shank to the center setting.
