Description
This elegant engagement ring features a marquise shaped diamond chevron set in a white gold criss-cross shank, with additional diamond accents on the sides. The design was developed for a client from Union, NJ, who initially used our Ring Builder program to share his feature and style preferences with our team.

We took the information he provided and created CAD images of his unique ring, which he then requested some slight revisions on. After adapting the piece to reflect these changes, he asked that we send him a wax model, which we did, and he then gave his approval to move things into production.
Center Setting
The 0.80 carat marquise shaped diamond at the center of this piece is set lengthwise across the top of the ring, nestled down in the space between the two strands of the split criss-cross shank. The chevron setting style used involved a prong at each end of the diamond, and the way the band wraps around the stone keep it well-protected from damage while simultaneously highlighting its perfect shape. Criss-cross Shank and Diamond Accents
The shank is made up of two intertwined white gold bands, each of which loops out and in, causing them to cross over each other four times in total as they work their way around the band. The largest space between them is at the top where the center diamond sits, and the slightly narrower spaces on the sides each hold five round channel set diamonds that taper slightly in size to perfectly fill the opening.
Customization Options
This combination of features gives the ring a contemporary flair, and the fluidity of the design is complemented by the high-polish finish on the 14k white gold. However, if you’d like to adjust this piece a bit so it’s a better fit for your personal style, there are quite a few options to consider.
For instance, you could add some custom hand engraving and milgrain beading to bring some vintage flair to the design. Or you could work in some pink diamonds or sapphires in place of either the main or accent stones to introduce romantic overtones. Using a different type of metal is a great way to bring contrasting colors into play, and experimenting with different setting styles for the diamonds can significantly alter the look of the piece as well. A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
