14k Yellow Gold Custom Pear Shaped Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #104399 $1,639 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Diamond Solitaire
At the top of this ring, a 1.21 carat pear-shaped diamond is held in a six-prong setting made of 18k rose gold. The stone is positioned so that its point extends out on one side of the band, while the rounded end rests on the other, and this helps to highlight the elegant lines of the cut. The prongs holding the stone originate from the same point, which is a small depression in the top of the band. From here, they angle outward and up, with two meeting the diamond on each side and one at either end. The height and specific arrangement of the prongs and the setting itself was a very important detail to the client, and we modified our digital models based on his feedback until he was satisfied that we’d perfectly captured his vision.
Customization Options
Customizing a ring like this could involve choosing a different cut of diamond for the center. For instance, an oval or marquise stone would work equally well, and each brings with it a slightly different overarching aesthetic. You may also want to go with a different type of stone altogether, with some options along those lines including various colors of sapphires and diamonds. Unique Engagement Rings
If you like the overall look of this piece but don’t want to go with a solitaire, you can experiment with various options for adding some accent stones to the band, and the various setting styles available can each help push the design in a different stylistic direction as well.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
