Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round tanzanite claw prong set at the top of a tapered palladium shank, accented with diamonds, milgrain, and custom hand engraving. It was created for a client from Eagle Pass, TX, who used the Ring Builder tool on our website to begin the custom design process.

He had a good idea about some of the features he wanted to include in his ring, and he asked for advice in some other areas as well. Based on his selections, we developed concept sketches and then CAD models of the piece we proposed to make, and after requesting a few minor modifications, he approved the design to move into production. Tanzanite Center
At the top of this ring sits a 1.55 carat round tanzanite, whose rich blue color contrasts beautifully with the silvery palladium it’s set in. The main setting consists of four talon prongs, and the points of these curl up over the edge of the tanzanite, holding the stone securely while introducing a bit of classical flair.
Diamond Accents
Small round diamonds are bright cut set down the shank shoulders, beginning right up at the side of the main setting and continuing down to the mid-point on the band. These taper slightly as they move away from the top, following the contours of the band so that they fill the space available perfectly. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Hand Engraving, Milgrain and Filigree
An elegant wheat pattern is custom hand-engraved on the fronts of the shank, and it picks up where the diamonds stop on the top of the shank as well. Only a small space at the very bottom of the ring is left blank to allow for sizing later on, and both the diamonds and the engraving are framed by delicate lines of milgrain beading.
Whimsical curls of filigree fill the space below the shank shoulders on either side of the main setting, providing a delightful hidden detail and putting the finishing touch on this gorgeous design. The filigree was an element that the client wanted to make sure was included, and so we adjusted the main setting style from our original design slightly to maximize the available space for this.
