They came to us with some ideas of what they liked and didn't like, and as the process progressed into the 3d CAD phase, the halo was added as an extra touch. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Marquise Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a two carat lab created marquise diamond. Lab created diamonds are real diamonds; the only difference between lab created and natural diamonds is that they were grown above ground, instead of below ground. They are physically, chemically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. These diamonds are a wonderful choice for a custom piece, and this ring is no exception. Conflict Free Diamonds
The marquise diamond is held in place by a chevron prong on each tip, and the diamond is situated pointing north/south on the wearer's finger. It is surrounded by the halo of split prong set diamonds, and below that the gallery rails holding the halo and diamond in place are also set with diamonds. Finally, the dainty band is also set with diamonds three-quarters of the way, making the total carat weight of the accent diamonds .78 carats. Diamond Engagement Rings
Customization Options
There are many ways to create this ring to fit your style. Even just choosing a different metal would completely change the look. However, you could also add details like milgrain and filigree under the center diamond to add a vintage aesthetic.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support

- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
