Center Setting and Halo
The center setting of this ring is dominated by a 1.50 carat oval diamond, which is prong set in 14k white gold. Surrounding this larger gem is a halo of bright cut set diamonds that’s pinched in at each prong to create a scalloped effect. The shape complements the center stone nicely, and it contributes to the classical flair of the piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
Pave Set Diamonds
Pave set diamonds run down the shank shoulders of this ring, ending at about the mid-point on the band. These bring a glamorous sparkle to the piece, as the type of setting used minimizes the amount of metal that can be seen between the stones. The end result is that the ring looks as though it’s been paved in diamonds, and this feature is shared by the companion wedding band we also designed.
Hand-engraved Accents
Below the pave set diamonds, the remainder of the shank is hand-engraved with a lovely scroll pattern on both the top and fronts. There is a fleur de lis engraved on each ring front below the center setting as well, and both of these accents can be customized to a great degree to help you integrate a symbol or pattern with special meaning to you.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
