Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round diamond set in platinum with aquamarine and sapphire accents in the organic design. It was created for a client from Redmond, WA, who visited our Bellevue showroom to begin the custom process. Their designer created a sketch of the design, and after a few minor tweaks in the 3D CAD stage, we created the ring in metal and gems. You can begin the custom design process by visiting in person or submitting an inquiry online. We can bring your dream ring to life, whether you have changes to an existing piece, combine a few pieces, or start entirely from the ground up.
Center Diamond
The client already owned a 1.03 carat diamond for the center, so we built the piece to perfectly fit it. Six floral-inspired prongs hold the diamond in the low-profile setting. On each side of the center diamond, there is a royal blue sapphire with filigree vine detailing down the fronts. Moving down from there, two marquise-cut aquamarines are set within the vines about halfway down the band. Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
Custom Design Process
Do you have an idea for your own engagement ring? We are happy to provide sketches and mockups to help you visualize your dream ring. Once the design is clarified, we will create 3D models to accurately depict the stone sizes and ring proportions. At that point, you can request unlimited modifications and we will print a wax model for you to see the dimensions on your finger. Once you are completely happy with the design, we will create it.
There are many options to customize this ring. Changing the gems to peach and champagne sapphires would give the ring a warmer look if set in rose gold. For a truly icy look, you could have all the gems be diamonds and add smaller diamond accents throughout the vines.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
