You can begin the custom design process by visiting our Bellevue, WA showroom in person, or you can reach out online to share your thoughts and learn more about what we can do for you.
Blue Sapphire Center
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.58 carat oval blue sapphire. Its deep, rich color contrasts wonderfully with the brilliant white of the platinum it’s set in, and the four prongs holding it in place are perfectly spaced to frame it beautifully.
Sapphires are an excellent choice if you prefer something other than a diamond center for your engagement ring. They come in many different colors, so you can simply choose your favorite, or you can select one with a deeper personal meaning. Sapphires are also nearly as hard as diamonds, making them quite able to stand up to the rigors of everyday wear. Sapphire Engagement Rings
Diamond Halo and Accents
Surrounding the center sapphire is a halo of bright cut set diamonds, and these continue around onto the sides of the center setting as well. The halo adds its own sparkle, of course, but it also helps to intensify the shine of the center stone by reflecting more light up onto it from below.
Four rows of bright cut set diamonds extend down the shank shoulders to the mid-point on the band. Two of these are on the top, while the other two cover each of the ring fronts. They tie in nicely with the diamonds in the halo to unify the two sections of the ring, and the dazzling sparkle they produce gives the ring decidedly glamorous flair.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
