Moissanite Center
At the center of this ring is a 1.52 carat Forever Brilliant moissanite. This type of gem was first discovered in a meteor crater in Arizona in 1893. It is incredibly rare in nature, however, and so most moissanite used in jewelry is lab-grown. This is an incredibly brilliant gem, and it’s an excellent alternative to a diamond in an engagement ring.
If you're after a moissanite, we only use Forever Brilliant moissanites because these are guaranteed to be nearly colorless. In fact, moissanites are often thought to be more brilliant than diamonds, and they reach a 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, which is only slightly lower than the 10 of a diamond.
Split Band and Accents
The shank of this ring begins as a solid narrow band, but it widens as it rises towards the main setting, eventually splitting into two strands slightly above the mid-way point. Just before this split, two rows of accent diamonds begin running up the band, with one row continuing on each of the split strands after they separate.
These diamond accents are all round and split prong set. They include 56 diamonds in total, and they end just before the top of each of the prongs that make up the main setting. These prongs are formed by the strands of the split shank rising up to cradle the larger moissanite at the top, and the diamond accents follow along, helping to give the piece a clean, classical look. Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
