18k Rose Gold Custom Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103017 $15,530 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
The client provided the center diamond as well, and we built the ring around it, with features selected to enhance its beauty. Throughout the custom design process, the client contributed great feedback to let us know which direction to take our adjustments, and she was very happy with the way the finished piece turned out.
Center Setting
At the top of this ring sits a 3.04 carat cushion cut diamond in a platinum claw prong setting. There is a trapezoid diamond bar set on either side of this center gem, and the upper portion of these settings rest right up against the main diamond, providing extra protection and framing it nicely.
This combination of settings keeps the diamond up high in a prominent position while not leaving it too exposed to the hazards of everyday life. The cushion shape works well with the mixture of straight lines and soft curves of the other diamonds in the piece, creating a comfortable middle ground and a nice sense of balance.
Diamond Accents
In addition to the trapezoids on the shoulders, there are several other diamond accents included in this ring. Running around the lower portion of the center setting, a ring of round bright cut set diamonds provides some surprise sparkle and added glamour.
Princess cut diamonds are channel set down each side of the shank as well, and these begin slightly below the lower bar of the trapezoid setting. They stop at the mid-point on the band, tapering slightly on the way down to mirror the width of the shank.
During the design process, the client requested to see several different arrangements and options for these accent diamonds to help her decide which she liked best. Some of the things she experimented with included having two trapezoid diamonds on each side, as well as having round diamonds channel set down the sides. While this was the arrangement she eventually fell in love with, the other combinations were beautiful as well, making them good options to keep in mind as you begin your own custom design process. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
