He shared many images of styles that he liked with our team, and we adjusted our models until he was sure they were perfect. We also grew a wax for him to view in our Bellevue, WA showroom, and he picked out his center stone in person as well.
Center Setting and Basket
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.36 carat oval diamond with dazzling fire and exquisite proportions. It’s cradled in an eight prong setting that rises directly out of the vintage-style basket below. The client always knew he was interested in an oval center, as well as the approximate size he wanted, and so we built the models to those proportions. Unique Engagement Rings
He wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted the basket to look like, however, but he did have many examples of pieces he knew his fiancee-to-be liked. We used these to come up with a unique design, and he requested we make the pattern more geometric than organic to help get just the look he was after.
Accent Diamonds
The shank of the ring is French pave set with round diamonds on both the top and fronts, and this gives it a truly glamorous flair. This type of setting leaves almost no metal showing between the stones, making it seem like the shank is actually paved with diamonds. Small round bright cut set diamonds also run around the base of the center basket, helping to give the ring a balanced feel by tying in with the accent stones on the band.
