Description
This gorgeous engagement ring features an oval diamond talon prong set at the top, with split prong set accents around the sides of the center setting as well as on the yellow gold band. We discussed various elements of the piece with him through our website, including the type and size of center stone he wanted, as well as the particular combination of setting styles and band designs to use. Once these details had all been settled, we turned things over to our expert artisans to begin production, and although he couldn’t visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, the client was very happy with the way the ring turned out.
Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 0.72 carat oval diamond is cradled in a talon prong setting made of 14k yellow gold. At our suggestion, the client opted for a lab grown diamond, as this allowed him to get the size and shape he wanted while staying within his budget. Although lab grown diamonds with these particular dimensions are rare, we were able to source this one for him, and after seeing the photos of it that we posted to his account, he decided it was the perfect centerpiece for his ring. Diamond Accents
There are two rings of metal that combine with the prongs to make up the lower portion of the center setting. The smaller one is all the way at the bottom and it’s the point from which the prongs originate. The other sits close to the bottom of the diamond, helping to increase the security of the setting while still allowing plenty of light to reach the larger stone. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Both of these rings are lined with split prong set diamonds all the way around, as is the entire shank below. These accent diamonds add a wonderful glamorous flair to the design, and their brilliant sparkle only helps to intensify the shine of the larger diamond at the top.

Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

- Final inspection

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
