This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in the center of a diamond halo with additional diamond accents on the white gold band. It was created for a client from Woodinville, WA, who came into our Bellevue showroom initially to see some sample pieces and learn about the custom design process. Halo Engagement Rings

After discussing with him the type of ring he wanted, our team developed an original design, which we then shared with him in the form of highly-detailed 3D images. He approved these outlines quickly, and so we turned his project over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Center Setting
The main setting of this ring centers on a 0.60 carat round brilliant cut diamond prong set in white gold. This rises up to sit significantly above the cathedral shank, a position which serves to emphasize its place as the centerpiece of the design.
Surrounding this larger diamond is a halo made up of small round bright cut set diamonds, and these add a lovely sparkle that also helps to intensify the brilliance of the main stone. The use of a halo brings some classical overtones to the design as well, while the bright cut setting adds vintage flair. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bright cut set diamonds line the shank shoulders down to the mid-point on the band, and they are also found on the four main pieces that make up the basket below the center diamond. This gives the ring a more glamorous feel, and it also bring unity to the design.
As a finishing touch, all accent diamonds are lined with milgrain beading. This acts to frame them, as well as to add some more texture and depth to the ring. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
