Center Setting and Halo
The diamond at the center of this ring is round brilliant cut and prong set. It comes in at exactly one carat, and its stunning fire is clearly visible from all sides thanks to the way the setting holds it up above the cathedral shank and halo. This halo is made up of smaller round diamonds that are bright cut set, and the halo itself is squared, which produces a nice contrast to the shape of the diamonds. Diamond Engagement Rings
Halos have been a popular feature of engagement rings going back hundreds of years. They add wonderful sparkle on their own, and they also intensify the brilliance of the larger stone they surround thanks to the additional light they reflect up onto it. Diamond Accents and Shank Design
Four tension set round diamonds run down the top of each shank shoulder, and the edges of their settings make up the faintly leaf-shaped settings for the bright cut set diamonds that border them on either side. These bright cut set diamonds are smaller, and their settings are lined with milgrain beading, which helps intensify the vintage aspect of the design while also tying in with the milgrain on the halo.
The way the settings for these diamond accents come together creates a lovely movement in the shank, and it leaves plenty of open spaces, giving the piece a look reminiscent of lace or decorative laticework. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
