This lovely engagement ring features a Mozambique garnet atop a halo of pave set diamonds, with additional diamond accents and custom filigree. It was designed for our client from Helena, MT, who worked with our team exclusively online to put together the perfect ring to commemorate her 13th wedding anniversary.

Garnet Solitaire
The garnet at the center of this ring is a 1 carat cushion cut stone with a rich red color. The way it’s set allows light to pass through the stone, giving a hint of red to the custom filigree hearts below.
Garnet is a symbol of love, and it also represents purity, truth, and compassion, all of which are wonderful sentiments to add to a special piece of jewelry. The color of the garnet contrasts nicely with the sparkling white of the diamonds to make for a truly eye-catching design.
Accent Diamonds
The accent diamonds in this ring are pave set, both in the modified halo design surrounding the center garnet, and also running down the shoulders of the shank. Pave settings require a great deal of skill and experience to execute properly, and our professional artisans have both in abundance.
The use of pave here gives the ring a classic vintage feel, but you could easily change the type of setting used to make for a modern or contemporary look if that’s more in line with your personal style. And that’s just one way you can customize this piece and make it your own.
Heart Filigree
Another customization option is to change the shape of the hand-made filigree, just as our client did for this piece. Rather than the criss-cross pattern that was originally included in the design, she opted to go with the two hearts to represent herself and her husband. This was a great way for her to add a special personal significance to the ring design, and you can do the same by customizing your own ring design with the help of our team.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.

I had Joseph Jewelry design and create a custom engagement/13th wedding anniversary ring for me entirely online. I was very nervous making an online purchase of this magnitude. A few thousand dollars isn't chump change for us. You make a good faith down payment, and then a kind of pay as you go type thing that made me much more comfortable spending that kind of money online. Another thing that made me very comfortable was their outstanding customer service. Right away Andrea answered my first email and we began discussing what I was looking for. She answered all of my emails in a very timely manner. In fact the customer service I received during the entire process was exceptional. Next thing was the design process. They make it very easy. Their website works flawlessly, easy to use and navigate. Pictures can be uploaded when you create an account so that you can show them your ideas. Or you just tell them what you're thinking, and then they come back with a drawing of what they think you want. If its not quite right they keep tweaking it until you're 100% happy. When I gave them my ideas Bonnie came back with drawings that were dead on, as if she had read my mind. I was completely impressed. She is awesome. Helpful, patient, and very sweet. I was picky about my center stone and Danny made sure I got exactly what I was asking for...again, Awesome customer service. They ALL honestly care about making you happy. They are happy to answer questions, or educate you on anything you may not understand. When my ring was finished (2 days ahead of schedule) Mike made sure my ring was shipped the same day, UPS 2nd day (free) and got me the tracking number within 15 minutes of my final payment. And finally...the ring. OMG. I have never seen such a stunning, glorious, magnificent, gorgeous, flawless piece of jewelry in my life. Ever. I really cant even find the words to adequately describe how in love with my ring I am. Its even more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. The craftsmanship is superb. The stones, exquisite. They have a loyal customer for life. I'll never buy a piece of jewelry from anyone else.
