Because he lived too far away to visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person, we shared sketches and CAD proofs of the design we developed for him in the online workroom we set up to manage his project. He was able to provide feedback on these models in this way as well, and once we made his requested modifications, he gave his approval to move the ring into production. Center Diamond
The diamond at the center of this ring is about one carat, and it was provided by the client. He had inherited it, and the symbolism of including this special family gem helped to increase the significance of the piece. The diamond is held in a four prong setting made of 18k white gold, which was a slight adjustment from the six prong setting outlined in our original models. Diamond Engagement Rings
Band Design and Blue Topaz Accents
The top surface of the band down to the mid-point on each side is covered with a raised floral filigree design composed of vine and leaf shapes. This was one of the main elements the client wanted to make sure was included in the ring when he began the custom design process, and he was very happy with the way it all came together.
Two small, round blue topaz are incorporated into the filigree, with one on either side of the center. This type of stone was a favorite of the client’s girlfriend, and so he asked that we work a couple of them into the design. The delicate blue of the topaz brings a subtle contrast to the ring, and it helps reinforce the floral overtones of the piece as well. Unique Engagement Rings Seattle
Scroll filigree fills the space below the shank shoulders, and three leaves sit directly below the center diamond on both ring fronts. The client requested that we expand the space for this filigree after seeing our initial sketches of the design, and these details tie in nicely with the floral themes of the filigree on top of the band.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
