Description

This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant diamond center stone held in place by six trellis prongs with a small split shank and diamond accents down the sides tapering in size, all set in unplated white gold. The client started by coming into our Bellevue, WA location and trying on different styles. Then, their designer helped them narrow down and combine the different rings into one beautiful, cohesive design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Center Diamond and Accents

The focal point of this piece is the 1.41 carat center diamond. The clients wanted a specific look for their diamond, so we brought in different options for them to compare and choose from. The design was created to enhance the center stone, so the diamonds cascading down the shoulders of the ring are tapering in size, from the largest at the top to smaller as they move down the shank. Split Shank Design

There is a tiny split shank at the top of the band next to the center diamond, which enhances the size of the diamond even more. The gap quickly closes and combines to one tapering band. The six prongs holding the center diamond in place flow gracefully from the split, and the prongs on both fronts originate in a criss-cross trellis shape. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

Unplated White Gold

White gold is not naturally white; it is yellow gold alloyed with a different metal, and then plated with rhodium for the light silvery coloring. Over time, the rhodium plating has to be maintained because it wears down. This client chose to forego the rhodium plating and chose unplated white gold as the metal for their engagement ring. This metal choice allows the diamonds in the piece to pop a bit more, and the metal ends up being a nice champagne color.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
