18k Rose Gold Vintage-inspired Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Diamond and Double Halo
At the top of this ring, a one carat round brilliant cut diamond sits in a four prong setting made of 18k white gold. The prongs hold the diamond up modestly above the surrounding halo, allowing it a position of prominence while still keeping the profile of the ring relatively low. Diamond Engagement Rings
The inner halo is in a cushion shape, with its rounded corners curving around the prongs in the main setting, and it’s made up of round bright cut set diamonds. It’s also flat, allowing the smaller stones to reflect plenty of light up onto the larger diamond at the center. Halo Engagement Rings
A second halo surrounds the first, but this one angles downward towards the band substantially, helping to give the entire center setting a somewhat domed appearance. The diamonds in this halo are all bright cut set, but they also each sit within their own section, as demarcated by lines of milgrain that curve around their inner-facing surfaces. This creates a scalloped appearance and some open space between the inner and outer halos that ties in nicely with the design on the band.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bezel and bright cut set diamond accents are integrated into an intricately-detailed section of both shank shoulders, with scalloped sides and a marquise shaped section in the middle. All of the sections in this part of the piece are lined with milgrain beading, just as both halos are, and that contributes significantly to the overall vintage feel of the ring. It’s part of the Sylvie collection we carry here at Joseph Jewelry, and our Bellevue, WA showroom is the only place you can view and try on pieces by this designer in the Pacific Northwest. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
