The client who designed this piece, for example, had a very specific vision in mind for the ring he would give to his future bride. By working with Joseph Jewelry, he was able to achieve a very personal ring that he would have been hard pressed to find in a chain store.

The client wanted to incorporated the infinity symbol into this design. The infinity symbol is worked into each side of the white gold shank, flanking a center diamond. The diamond itself continues this aesthetic, mirroring the shape of these symbols in its classic marquise shape. The infinity symbols are comprised of strands of interweaving diamonds, one string of white and one string of black. Altogether, this is a ring that sends a message of two contrasting elements united together in eternal union.
The marquise diamond on this piece is set vertically, perpendicular to the shank. This is the most traditional way to set a marquise gem. The delicate points on either end of this stone are protected by the V-shaped prongs of the setting, giving it a bold and secure appearance. Alternatively, a marquise diamond can be set parallel with the shank to achieve a more modern look. Diamond Engagement Rings

Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
