Center Diamond
The diamond at the center of this ring is round brilliant cut, and it’s displayed beautifully in a tension setting that arises naturally from the split platinum shank. It’s bordered on one side by a line of round bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain that runs across from one side to the other, while the other portion of the setting is composed of a flat band that follows the contours of the diamond more closely. Asymmetrical Band
The band is straight and flat at the bottom, and it continues this way until the half-way point. This is where the accent diamonds start, and it’s also where the band starts to thicken slightly. As it gets a little closer to the top, the shank eventually divides into two strands, with the diamond accents continuing up along one side.
The asymmetry of the main setting is also evident on the fronts of the ring, as the side with the bright cut set diamond accents also includes a large and ornate section of hand-crafted filigree on the front directly below the center diamond. There is no corresponding section like this on the other side. There is a similar filigree filing the spaces between the two sides of the split shank on the shoulders of the piece, however, and this ties in nicely with the lines of the center setting to create a satisfying and cohesive whole. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
