This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in a four prong platinum setting above a split shank, with multiple diamond accents. It was designed as a custom piece for a couple from Austell, GA, and we made sure to include all design elements that were important to them without them having couldn't visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally.

Center Diamond
A round diamond center is a popular engagement ring choice and has been for generations. This ring centers around a brilliant cut round diamond that comes in at a full 2 carats and is held securely in a four prong setting above a square basket. The open setting lets the sparkle of the diamond really shine through, and the brilliant white of the platinum prongs help to accentuate this as well. Diamond Engagement Rings
Accent Stones
In addition to the center stone, diamonds run nearly all the way around the split cathedral shank of this ring on both the top and the fronts. They’re bright cut set and lined with milgrain, a detail that helps give the piece an elegant and classic look.
The basket surrounding the bottom of the center stone is also lined with brilliant cut diamonds, as is the front of the top of the band that the main setting arises from. The perfect placement of all of these stones helps create a sparkle that’s hard to match, and it works to intensify the brilliance of the larger stone at the top as well. Split Shank
As the shank rises up from the bottom and reaches for the center setting, the two halves of it diverge slightly, allowing each part to connect to a corner of the basket. This gives the piece a good balance, and it also introduces another interesting layer into the design.
The shank itself is made of platinum, a lovely silvery-white metal that is perfectly suited to holding so many stones securely thanks to its impressive strength and durability. It also doesn't require replating to maintain its color as white gold does, making it an excellent choice for a piece of jewelry that you’ll want to wear every day.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
