18k White Gold Custom Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #102614 $5,298 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
He already had the diamond he wanted to use in the center, as well as some unique ideas about how to form the setting. After learning as much as we could about the types of features he wanted included in his piece, we created a set of 3D images of the design we proposed to build and shared them with him online. He quickly approved our model, and we turned his project over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Center Setting
The diamond at the center of this ring is 2.36 carats and round brilliant cut. It is cradled in a six prong platinum setting, and these prongs all rise up from the same point on the band. They curve slightly as they rise, ending in flat tops that each hold a small flush set round diamond. This unique arrangement really helps draw attention to the main setting, while also emphasizing the perfect shape of the center diamond. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
Each shank shoulder holds four accent diamonds arranged in a line, and these are all round and shared prong set. Their diameter is slightly more than the width of the band, causing them to expand the border of the ring to accommodate their dimensions. This acts as a satisfying complement to the small accent diamonds in the main setting, and it brings some contemporary flair to the design as well.
Building Your Custom Ring
There are many ways to jump start the custom design process. If you have an existing stone that you’d like to find the perfect setting for, as this client did, we can use its attributes to make recommendations and show you example pieces to help you find the types of features you think best complement it.
Another alternative is to take an existing piece like this one and adjust it until it’s a better match for your personal style. For instance, you could use a different type of gemstone in the center, or you could include some pink or blue sapphires as accents on the band. Using a different type of metal is an option as well, and something like yellow gold would introduce a lovely contrast to a piece like this and really help the diamonds stand out. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
