She also had a number of diamonds already that she wanted to use for the piece, and so we built her unique design around these stones while incorporating the features she wanted from her inspiration pieces along the way. Most of the design modification was done using CAD proofs that we shared with her online, but she did come into our Bellevue, WA showroom personally towards the end of the process to view a wax model of her piece and to evaluate her metal options.
Center Setting and Halo
At the top of this ring, a 0.72 carat round brilliant cut diamond sits in a four prong setting made from 14k rose gold. The diamond was provided by the client, along with the other stones used in the ring, and its brilliant white color contrasts perfectly with the warm tones of the metal it’s set in. Smaller round diamonds are shared prong set in a halo that encircles the center stone, adding a classical look as well as some dazzling sparkle to the center setting. These accent diamonds reflect added light up onto the center from below, helping to increase its brilliance. The shared prong setting used also helps keep the amount of visible metal to a minimum, and that only adds to the glamorous look of the center setting as a whole. Diamond Engagement Rings
Heart Designs and Custom Filigree
Each shank shoulder features a heart shape just beyond the center setting, followed by a pear-shaped section, and each of these holds a prong set diamond within it that’s roughly the same size as the diamonds in the halo. There is also a filigree heart visible on both ring fronts directly below the center setting, and scroll filigree fills the space on the fronts of the ring below the heart shapes on the shank shoulders.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
Starting just beyond the two diamond accents on the sides of the main setting, the band is covered with a lovely scroll-style pattern of hand engraving on both the top and fronts. This continues down the sides, with only a small blank space at the very bottom preserved for sizing purposes. Milgrain beading frames these hand-engraved sections, and it also lines the filigree shapes below the center setting.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
