Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a one carat cushion cut diamond is prong set in platinum, and it’s oriented to sit lengthwise across the band to be inline with the finger. The diamond is only slightly rectangular, and its rounded corners almost make it appear oval, while the openness of the setting allows it to shine through in every direction.
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band has a knife edge all the way around, which creates a crest in the middle with a significant slope down towards the interior margin of the ring on either side. The lower half of the band is smooth and polished, and at the mid-point on each side, two rows of bright cut set diamonds begin. These run up all the way to top of the ring, even continuing as the strands that hold them transition into the prongs of the main setting. Unique Engagement Rings Bellevue
The band splits down the middle soon after the accent diamonds begin, and as these strands start to separate and angle farther outward, a third strand emerges between them. This strand is quite narrow at the beginning, but it widens quickly, eventually rising up to meet the side of the main setting about half-way up to the top of the diamond. Diamond Engagement Rings
This middle strand is lined with bright cut set diamonds tapered to fit in the available space, and these are lined with milgrain beading, as are those on the outer strands. These outer strands cross over each other on each ring front on their way up to meet the corners of the center diamond as prongs, and this completes the elegant and intricate design of the band that gives the piece so much character and contemporary flair.
