We created some concept sketches for him, and once he’d settled on a few design and material details, we moved into the CAD phase of the process. He liked our initial models very much, and after making some small tweaks, he approved the design to move into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Setting and Halo
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.70 carat oval diamond, and it’s cradled by four white gold prongs that hold it up somewhat over the contoured halo surrounding it. The shape of the prongs was something that the client wanted to make sure was just right, and so we showed him several different options to ensure the finished piece had exactly the look he was after. Halo Engagement Rings
The diamonds in the halo are all round and split prong set. This brings a lovely classical elegance to the design, and it allows the diamonds to span the entire width of the halo. The halo itself follows the lines of the center stone exactly, helping to emphasize the beautiful oval shape.
Band Design and Customization Options
The band is straight and narrow most of the way around, with a split occurring quite close to the center setting. The two strands that emerge at this point move away from each other quickly, rising up at the same time to meet the underside of the halo. The widening effect this creates at the top of the ring brings a nice balance to the design, along with an added intricacy. Engagement Rings Seattle
If you’re interested in customizing this piece, you could begin by selecting a different shape for the center stone. Options in this regard include marquise, cushion, round, and princess cut, and each of these would bring a decidedly different character to the piece. You could also experiment with different setting styes for the diamonds in the halo, and you may even want to add some more accent diamonds along the shank shoulders for some extra sparkle and glamorous flair.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
