Description
This dazzling engagement ring features a round emerald prong set in the center of a French cut set diamond halo, with additional diamond accents on the split platinum shank below. It was created for a client from Noblesville, IN, who initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to get the custom design process underway.

On that visit, she found a ring she wanted to customize, and she then worked with our team online through the dedicated workroom we established to manage her project. This was where we shared CAD renderings of the various designs she was contemplating, along with photos of the emerald options available for the center. She requested adjustments to our models through this online portal as well, and once everything was perfect, we turned her project over to our expert artisans to begin production. Center Emerald
In the center of this ring, a 0.98 carat round emerald is held in place by four platinum prongs. This was the main change the client made from her inspiration piece, as that ring had a diamond at the top. The choice of the emerald, however, brings rich green color and a stunning contrast with the white of the diamonds and platinum that make up the rest of the ring. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Diamond Halo and Accents
A slightly squared halo of French cut set diamonds surrounds the center emerald. The shape of the halo helps to highlight the elegant curves of the larger stone, and it brings a delicate vintage flair to the ring as well.
French cut set accent diamonds also run down the split shoulders of the shank, continuing even after the two strands come together, and ending at about the mid-point on the band. These create a connection between the center setting and the rest of the piece, while also adding a decidedly glamorous flair to the design.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
