Once she decided on the setting, she worked with our team to select the perfect sapphire for the center. We brought in a few for her to choose from, and her sister stopped by our Bellevue, WA showroom to take a look at them in person. At that point, she was ready to move forward to the CAD portion of the process, and she approved our models with only a minor modification to the band so that we could send her project into production.
Bezel Set Sapphire
The stunning centerpiece of this ring is a beautiful blue sapphire that’s cut in an octagonal shape. Its bezel set in 14k white gold, and the precise lines of the setting help highlight the stone’s unique shape. Milgrain Accents and Band Design
A double row of milgrain beading lines the bezel setting to provide a delicate frame for the gem. This detail brings a hint of vintage flair to the design as well, and it gives the ring a nice, finished look. On the fronts of the ring, a subtle filigree forms the sides of the main setting, protecting the stone at the center while also allowing in plenty of light to maximize its sparkle.
The band is straight almost to the point where it reaches the main setting. This is where it splits into two strands that quickly reach out to meet the corners of the bezel surrounding the sapphire. The triangular shape that’s created between them is the perfect complement to the angular stone at the top, and it eases the transition to the narrower band quite smoothly.
