Description
This beautiful engagement ring features a cushion cut diamond at the top, with baguette diamonds on the shoulders, and additional diamond accents on the fronts of the basket. It was created for a client from Woodinville, WA, who already had the center diamond she wanted to use, along with a clear idea about the styles and features she liked. We developed a CAD model for her of the piece as we proposed to build it, and she requested a few modifications before giving her approval to move into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a 2.02 carat cushion cut diamond is double prong set in platinum, with the four prongs curling up to cradle the rounded corners of the stone. The client provided the diamond, and its slightly elongated shape worked well to complement the other design elements she wanted to include.
Diamond Accents
Two tapered baguette diamonds frame this center stone, with one extending down each shank shoulder. Their wider ends are nearer to the main setting, and they angle down to the exact width of the band on their opposite end, easing the transition to the smooth shank below.
Bright cut set diamonds also appear on the fronts of the basket below the main diamond, and these are lined with milgrain for a bit of vintage flair. The client had originally wanted to extend the milgrain to line the entire band, but on our advice, she limited it to a border for the accents stones. Three Stone Engagement Rings
Our initial design also had multiple baguettes on each side of the center. After considering several ways to arrange these, however, the client decided she liked the look better with just three large stones on top, and so this is the direction we went. The style that inspired her was the Harry Winston look, and we worked to keep the spirit of this throughout the design process so that is was thoroughly reflected in the finished piece.
