18k Yellow Gold And Platinum Custom Two-tone Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
The main diamond in this ring is a 0.80 carat round brilliant cut, and the four-prong setting holding it in place leaves as much of the stone visible as possible. This lets the sparkle of the diamonds speak for itself, and its brilliant white contrasts wonderfully with the warm glow of the 14k yellow gold band. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
Running down both shoulders of the split shank are rows of round bright cut set accent diamonds. These bring a bit of vintage flair to the piece, and they also complement the sparkle of the center stone thanks to the way they run up alongside it as the ends of the shank transition into the center setting.
Band Design and Filigree
The band itself is narrowest at the bottom, and it gradually widens as it moves up towards the top. The rows of accent diamonds start at the mid-way point, and the shank splits between the fourth and fifth line. From there, the two pieces on each side move gradually outward until they reach the center stone and transition into the four prongs of the setting.
A delicate white gold filigree fills the space between the two pieces of the split shank on each side of the center stone, and small filigree scrolls also occupy the openings on the fronts of the ring below the main diamond. Our client wanted to use white gold for these accents to help them stand out from the rest of the band, and they create a nice two-tone look as well.
The fronts of the band, as well as the top below the accent stones, is covered with beautiful hand-engraving to add a classical elegance and reinforce the vintage theme. Our artisans can customize this type of engraving to reflect something of personal significance for you, which is a wonderful way to add another layer of meaning to such a special piece. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
