Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.

I chose Joseph Jewelry because they are able to make custom design engagement rings. The nice thing was that I was able to bring in a loose diamond and I was treated with the same respect as someone coming in without a loose diamond that buys the entire package. I met with Danny and Usiel to design my ring. Danny took his time to explain everything to me and was very knowledgeable. There was an immediate feeling of trust. I even left my diamond at the store for storage until the ring was designed and created. Danny showed me that my diamond had a GIA serial number laser inscribed under the microscope to reinsure that this was my diamond. Once I left the store I communicated entirely on their website through private messages. Usiel responded within 24 hours of any message (except Sundays as they are closed). They will make any modifications as necessary until you are completely satisfied. The whole process took less than 2 weeks which is half the time projected! Thank you again for the lovely ring and great customer service.
