Although he was never able to visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person, the advanced imaging tools we have at our disposal allowed us to share all details of the design with him and to ensure the ring we made was exactly what he wanted. We also grew a wax model of the piece and shipped it to him so that he could inspect it prior to giving his final approval to move the project into production.
Three-stone Setting
At the center of this ring is a 0.95 carat round brilliant cut diamond with beautiful fire. It’s cradled perfectly in a four-prong rose gold setting, and a small round accent diamond is bezel set on each side for a subtle three-stone look. Diamond Engagement Rings
Our client originally asked for a tension set, low-profile center diamond, with the accent stones worked into the openings between the strands of the criss-cross shank going down the sides. But after seeing a 3D mock-up of this, he decided to move the accent stones in and raise up the center diamond, which involved switching to the prong setting seen here.
Criss-cross Band
The band itself is a solid piece at the bottom, but it splits into two strands about a quarter of the way up each side to begin the criss-cross pattern that continues all the way up to surround the center setting. This gives the ring a gentle undulating motion, which is exactly the look our client was after. His fiancee-to-be really liked the ocean, and so he wanted the ring to reflect the movement of the waves.
