He came into our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to being the custom design process, and this allowed him to share his inspiration with our team while also taking a look at some sample pieces. After this initial consultation, he collaborated with our designers online to finalize the details of the ring, and after making a few small adjustments to our CAD model, he gave approval to move into production. Center Setting
This ring was built around the diamond the client provided, which is a 3.60 carat round brilliant cut stone. It’s double prong set in platinum, ensuring the security of the stone while also allowing for a clear view from all sides. It’s set as low as possible in an effort to keep the profile moderate while still allowing for the depth of such a large diamond, which is the look the client was after. Diamond Accents and Band Design
The shank of this ring is solid across the bottom, but it opens up on each side to integrate two infinity symbols formed by the crossing over of the two strands of the split shank. These are lined with French cut set diamond accents to highlight their special shape, as well as to add some glamorous flair to the ring.
The infinity symbols were of special personal significance to the client, and he wanted to make sure they weren’t overshadowed by the large diamond at the top. With that in mind, he asked to see a CAD version of the design with the loops slightly wider than what we initially produced, and he did eventually decide he like that version better for the balance it provided to the piece.
