18k Yellow Gold Custom Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #103268 $4,989 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
There were three rings the client had found on our website that he liked certain aspects of, and he wanted to see what it would be like to combine this collection of features into one ring. We initially photoshopped those elements together to give him a rough idea of the finished product, and as he was happy with that, we proceeded to develop a more detailed CAD model of the piece. Center Setting and Halo
At the center of this ring, a 0.81 carat round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in platinum. It sits gracefully above the halo of split prong set diamonds that surrounds it, following its contours perfectly. The lovely round shape of the halo helps to accentuate the perfect cut of the stone, and the use of the split prong setting to hold the smaller diamonds leaves very little metal surrounding them, helping to intensify their sparkle. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Split prong set diamonds also run down both shank shoulders to the mid-point on the band. These act as a continuation of the halo, working to unite the two sections of the ring. The basket below the center setting also features accent diamonds, although these are bright cut set and slightly smaller than those found elsewhere. Unique Engagement Rings
A line of milgrain beading runs along the inner margin of the band, beginning right at the point where it joins the underside of the halo. The milgrain continues down until the spot where the accent diamonds on the shank shoulder stop, and this helps to bring a nice balance and subtle vintage flair to the design.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
