This stunning engagement ring features an emerald cut center diamond, accented by a tapered baguette diamond on either side. It was created for a client from Redmond, WA, who worked with our staff onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom to complete the custom design process.

Three-stone Setting
The stone in the center of this ring is a 1.99 carat emerald cut diamond, and it’s displayed beautifully in a four-prong 14k white gold setting. Completing the three-stone arrangement are two tapered baguette diamonds, together totaling 0.81 carats, and oriented with their smaller ends pointing away from the center stone. The baguette diamonds are bezel set, which works with the other elements of the band design to create a decidedly contemporary look. Three Stone Engagement Rings
Band Design
This piece features a cathedral shank, with the main setting sitting up on the shoulders of the band well above the inner ring. Towards the bottom of the band on either side, thicker, slightly squared corners come out to balance the large main setting. This is referred to as a Euro shank, and it’s a good choice to help keep the ring from spinning on your finger when you have larger stones at the top. Diamond Engagement Rings

As with all of our pieces, we’re happy to work with you to adjust this design until it’s a perfect fit for your personal style. Some options include replacing the center diamond or the side stones with a different type of gemstone, possibly one that has special meaning for you. Birthstones are one popular choice, and sapphires in general are frequently used as an alternative to diamonds in engagement rings, as they are also quite hard and come in a wide variety of colors.

Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
